Bengals Cannot Recover Against Bobcats
It was one of those games for the UMFK Men’s Basketball team on Saturday afternoon. They hung around throughout but were never able to push past the home St. Thomas University Bobcats to gain a lead, losing 88-66. The Bobcats started out on fire from 3-point range, building a seven-point lead to start the game. The Bengals hung tough through most of the game but were never able to get the consecutive defensive stops they were looking for.
Chance Cole was a solid contributor with his 12 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Mahlik Franklin was also strong, with 10 points and seven rebounds. The Bengals’ record now drops to 2-6, with Saturday’s game being the end of a long seven-game road trip through Georgia and Florida. The Bengals will look to get back on track against the University of Maine at Machias at home in Fort Kent on December 4th.
