Bengals Come From Behind to Win
Despite being down as many as 12 points early in the first quarter, the Lady Bengals basketball team fought back and earned a 64-53 come from behind win on the road against the SUNY Canton Kangaroos.
The Bengals were slightly stifled by the 2-3 zone of the home team, combined with poor shooting from the field and early foul trouble, put the Bengals down 22-10 after the first quarter. A marvelous second quarter paved the way for the comeback as they outscored the Kangaroos 21-4 in the second 10 minutes of action.
Trinity Washington was dynamic, leading the Bengals for a full 40 minutes with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 assists. The Bengals’ record now moves to 6-1 with another road test against College of St. Joseph’s in Rutland, VT tomorrow afternoon.
