Paz Propels UMFK Past Fisher

It was the incredibly early start to the UMFK Women’s Soccer team attack that propelled them past the visiting Fisher Falcons at Alumni Memorial Field on Saturday afternoon in Fort Kent. Freshmen forward Veronica Paz scored two goals within the first two minutes of the game to put the Bengals ahead early, and there was no looking back. Paz finished the game with three goals in total. The Bengals dominated from start to finish and ended up finishing off Fisher 9-0. Searra Herbert, another Freshman, proved herself to be a real diaper dandy as she also had a hat trick. Mili Alvarez, Hope Shea, and Jordan Maxwell all contributed to the Bengals’ cause with a goal apiece.

Coach Simpson and the Bengals’ record now moves to 5-0-1, and their next match is against Maine Maritime on October 8th in Castine, Maine.
