UMFK Upends Unity

The University of Maine at Fort Kent Men’s Soccer team defended their home field on a rainy Homecoming Weekend afternoon at Alumni Memorial Field, beating the visiting Unity Rams 8-0. The Bengals showed tremendous versatility as seven different players scored, including Shawn Genus (2), Dwayne Powell, Lewis Cockburn, Christopher Tillock, Kevaughn Blake, Jahreed Murray, and Damion Rankine all scored for UMFK.

Coach Oniqueky Samuels will take his team down to Machias, Maine, as they will face in-state rival, University of Maine at Machias Clippers on Saturday afternoon. The Bengals’ record now stands at 5-2-2 after facing a number of very tough-ranked teams to start the season. The UMFK Men’s Soccer team will look to right the ship against the Machias Clippers on Saturday in hopes of gaining momentum as they search for yet another bid to the USCAA National Tournament.
